This is a pilot-piston operated, general purpose solenoid valve. It is designed for use with water, air, light oil, and noncorrosive fluids. Do not use for gas and other hazardous or explosive fluids.
With this A414P model, the stem and plunger assembly opens the port. This releases pressure on top of the piston, which opens the main valve port. Dema pilot-piston solenoid valves are available for 3/8″ to 1″ pipes: see Related Products section.
